Well hello again, faithful readers! Arcane Twilight is now a year old, but that's not the big news. We are pleased to announce that Mark has self-published his supernatural detective novel Power Play. The first chapter appeared in issue 1-3, so please check it out if you're interested in reading a sample.

In this issue, Mark gives us Chapter Two of his second novel Warders of the Gate, set in the fantasy world of Rhillai (Chapter One was published in issue 1-2). Be sure to let Mark know if you want to see the full text of Warders in print, as well!

Our second story is by Jim Owens, a longtime writer for DargonZine. Carlo recently met up with Jim and some other fellow Dargon Project members during their annual meeting, which was held in Las Vegas this year. "Element of Surprise" was a story that Jim had written over ten years ago, but it was never accepted for printing in DargonZine. Carlo thought it would be perfect for Arcane Twilight, though, and we are glad to bring it to you today.
