Foreword

Greetings, readers! This is Valentina, and I'd like to welcome you to the premiere issue of Arcane Twilight, a new online webzine specializing in original works of fantasy and science fiction. If you've been on the Internet for a while, you might recognize the editors, Mark Murray and Carlo Samson, from their days over at DargonZine (one of the web's longest-running fanzines). Since that time, Mark has written a fantasy novel which is currently under consideration by a major publisher. Carlo has continued to pursue his interests in web design and 3D graphics, but occasionally dabbles in short fiction from time to time. (And speaking of graphics, some of you 3D artists out there are no doubt thinking that you've seen me before, but I assure you -- I'm never the same girl twice!)

 

For our inaugural issue, Mark brings us a tale of dragons, while Carlo presents a short story set in an unsettling future. He also provides us with the first episode of his fantasy web comic "Magic, Maiden, and Mist".
