Welcome, intrepid readers, to another
exciting issue of Arcane Twilight! We have traveled to the
ends of the Earth and brought back some of the finest fiction
available...well okay, they were emailed to us, but still!
Mark went on a local book-signing tour in April and May of this year
to promote his fantasy novel
Warders of the Gate. The signings went
well; he sold out once and nearly did so again a second time. He was also
featured twice in the Weirton (WV) Daily Times.
Carlo's original artwork "The Last
Martian" appears on the front page of
SCI FI Weekly (part of
the SCI FI Channel's website) for the week of July 14, 2008.
In addition, he and fellow writer Jim Owens have started a
fiction blog called The Kethrios Cycle, set in a new fantasy
world.
In this issue, we are pleased to bring you
two new sci-fi tales. "Green Eyed Girl" comes to us courtesy of
RJ Astruc, whose many stories have appeared in Strange
Horizons and other publications. Ricardo Delgado gives us the
futuristic detective story "Prayer Day." Ricardo is a Hollywood
concept and storyboard artist, who has worked on a number of
popular movies as well as upcoming films like
The Mummy:
Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and
X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And
as a special feature, we have an interview with JB Kohl,
author of the detective-noir novel
The Deputy's Widow.
So as you can see, we have a lot of good stuff in this
issue. I'll let you go ahead and start reading, but keep an eye out for the next
issue, which should be available sometime next month. Enjoy!
